Detailed Product Description

Acerola, also known as Barbados Cherry, is found in Central America, South America and the Caribbean islands. The fruit is round to oblate, cherry-like but with 3 lobes. It is bright red (rarely yellow-orange) with thin skin, easily bruised. The pulp is juicy with a delicate flavor and apple notes. The fruit is very high in Vitamin C. It also contains Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, calcium, phosphorus and iron.

Applications: Sport drinks, natural juices, nutritional bars, yoghurts, baked products, meats and sausages, capsules and energy/supplement powder blends.
